The Silent Wing Museum honors all the men of the Gilderborne forces of WWII. Lubbock was the training location for most of America's glider pilot corps. The museum has several types of WWII gliders that include Waco and Horsa gliders along with numerous exhibits of the men, weapons and equipment that traveled in these silent aircraft.
