I'm planning to place an order, but after going through webshops of other U.S. miniature vendors I'm a little unsure what awaits me. I read something about taxes and tolls, how will that effect an order if it's to be sent to Germany?
Is there something else than P&P, some paperwork I have to be aware or take care of? I've heard that delivery time might be affected by customs offices holding back parcels, but if that's all, I'd have no problem with it.
Can you shed some light on this please?

Many thanks in advance!

I charge a flat rate $5 for worldwide shipping.  I will fill out a customs form when I send it and then it usually take 7-10 to reach its destination.  I have sent to almost every country in Europe, Australia and Canada and I have never had any issues with customs.  I believe if there is an issue, your country's customs office will deal with you on any issue they might have.  Most custom issues deal with value, weight or type of contents.

I wouldn't worry about any customs issues as metal toy miniatures which are pretty low on their "To Look For" list.

Hope that helped,
Brian

I've had parcels opened on occasion. When that happens there's often a tax to pay and always a hanfdling fee (did I ask them to handle anything? Angry )

It's based on value. Above a certain value (depends on your country) there are taxes to pay. I think thatbelow $30 it usually isn't a problem.

Sometimes you can get away with larger values if the gift box is ticked, but I guess they are more suspicious of that. A safer bet would be to have a lower value for the goods declared on the box. Of course, all that is illegal and I can't recommend to anyone you buy goods from to do that. It would simply be wrong... *cough*.

One might even say it would be naughty.

Thanks guys, for the clarification. I won't have to worry too much about that, then. I'll plan my modeling budget accordingly

Thanks for the biz,

I order from them all the time.  I usually get my orders within a week of ordering. I love them and have never had a problem
